Abdelhamid Djebbour could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Fodil Zidane made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karim Merzekane in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodil Zidane saved Poydras from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Kamel Rahouli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rachid Taha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vassar getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Thelma Chedda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamel Rahouli in the 26th minute of play forced Vassar's goalkeeper Rachid Taha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Halim Kouri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rachid Taha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamel Rahouli, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The referee gave Poydras a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mehdi Kerkar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vassar's Rachid Taha. 0-2. After 42 minutes of play, Vassar's Abdelhamid Djebbour made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodil Zidane was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Fodil Zidane came out of the goal and Nordine Benyamina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kamel Rahouli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rachid Taha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
