Mohamed Hanister made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rachid Boniche in the 2nd minute. After 6 played minutes Franklin FC got a freekick which was hit by Tedj Merbah. After having played for 9 minutes, Rachid Boniche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Franklin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Boniche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Ismaïl Boulahfane notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Upland FC's Mohamed Hanister. Mohamed Hanister was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute, Ismaïl Boulahfane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Zouba in the 22nd minute of play forced Franklin FC's goalkeeper Madhi Zaaboub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lili Ahmed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Franklin FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tedj Merbah hit a great ball. Ismaïl Boulahfane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rachid Boniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Hanister having to interfere. Madhi Zaaboub stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lili Ahmed's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Rachid Boniche's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Mohamed Hanister skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd match minute, Upland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lili Ahmed to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rachid Boniche to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Upland FC's Mohamed Zouba got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Lili Ahmed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Upland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lili Ahmed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Madhi Zaaboub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ismaïl Boulahfane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Franklin FC booed when Upland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Said didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Ismaïl Boulahfane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some careless play in the Upland FC defense, Rachid Boniche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohamed Hanister. The Upland FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohamed Hanister should have stopped the shot. Ismaïl Boulahfane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohamed Hanister having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, Upland FC's Djamel Benchenaa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Madhi Zaaboub narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
