In the 3rd match minute, Hartford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nourredine Benaouf to maneuver through the defense. Hamid Boulmerka hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Abdellah Hadjadj might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fateh Sahraoui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdellah Hadjadj ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th match minute, Hartford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karim Drioueche to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Medjadi Sadmi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmed Sadi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Hartford FC's Abdellah Hadjadj sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fateh Sahraoui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmed Sadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Laurent Benyamina in the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Abdellah Hadjadj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hartford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdellah Hadjadj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Guillaume Laurent Benyamina came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Breaux Bridge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillaume Laurent Benyamina couldn't finish the play. Abdellah Hadjadj struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fateh Sahraoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hartford FC. When Hamid Boulmerka fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Breaux Bridge AFC's protests and gave Hamid Boulmerka a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Breaux Bridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hamid Boulmerka. Adlène Amirouche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ahmed Sadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breaux Bridge AFC's Fateh Sahraoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdellah Hadjadj in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute Amar Amrouche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fateh Sahraoui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amar Amrouche made a kick off. Amar Amrouche's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Fateh Sahraoui skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Amar Amrouche took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Fateh Sahraoui to make any attempt to save it. Hartford FC's Ahmed Sadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adlène Amirouche in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Hartford FC got a freekick which was hit by Karim Drioueche. In the 77th minute, Guillaume Laurent Benyamina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Breaux Bridge AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 83 minutes into the match, Breaux Bridge AFC's goalkeeper Fateh Sahraoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdellah Hadjadj. In the 83rd match minute, Breaux Bridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamid Boulmerka to maneuver through the defense. It was a well-played corner which Karim Liegeon managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 89th minute, Abdellah Hadjadj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hartford FC's zone, Adlène Amirouche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmed Sadi came out of the goal and Adlène Amirouche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Adlène Amirouche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Breaux Bridge AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adlène Amirouche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hartford FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
