Mouloud Mamouni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahia Bilal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poquonock Bridge's Mouloud Mamouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yahia Bilal in the 21st minute of play. Rabah Belkacem struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Mouloud Mamouni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smokey Point AFC. Mouloud Mamouni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yahia Bilal in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Mohammed Ahmed Bencheikh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poquonock Bridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smokey Point AFC the free kick. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Smokey Point AFC. Ferhat Madjer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yazid Fanon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Smokey Point AFC's Rabah Belkacem got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mouloud Mamouni came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Smokey Point AFC's Yahia Bilal. But to his dismay, Yahia Bilal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mouloud Mamouni made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Smail Belkacem sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yazid Fanon in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yasmina Kensi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abdelaziz Boulmerka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasmina Kensi having to interfere. Yazid Fanon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasmina Kensi having to interfere. Rabah Belkacem blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mouloud Mamouni having to make a save. In the 90th minute Rabah Belkacem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mouloud Mamouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mouloud Kensi fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smokey Point AFC's protests and gave Mouloud Kensi a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Smokey Point AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mouloud Kensi. Abdelaziz Boulmerka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yasmina Kensi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After 95 minutes, Abdelaziz Boulmerka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poquonock Bridge and the Smokey Point AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
