Mehdi Moussa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohammad Kaci Belkacem's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Mohammad Kaci Belkacem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Moussa having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester City's goalkeeper Mehdi Moussa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Wolfdale AFC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Wolfdale AFC's El Meriem looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mehdi Moussa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammad Kaci Belkacem in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wolfdale AFC's Anther Reda Madouni got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Hamid Saïd-Guerni sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wolfdale AFC's Gilles Benhamou didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, El Meriem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolfdale AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but El Meriem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehdi Moussa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute El Meriem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehdi Moussa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mohammad Kaci Belkacem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehdi Moussa was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mimoun Khelaifia made a kick off. Anther Mansouri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Benhamou having to interfere. With a little luck, Manchester City's Mehdi Moussa got control of the ball when Mohammad Kaci Belkacem tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mimoun Khelaifia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilles Benhamou having to make a save. 82 minutes into the game, Cheb Djura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wolfdale AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City the free kick. Cheb Djura hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mimoun Khelaifia in the 83rd minute of play forced Wolfdale AFC's goalkeeper Gilles Benhamou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohammad Kaci Belkacem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Mehdi Moussa made a huge save. Mehdi Moussa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from El Meriem in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Mohammad Kaci Belkacem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehdi Moussa came out of the goal and Mohammad Kaci Belkacem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehdi Moussa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from El Meriem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, El Meriem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolfdale AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but El Meriem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehdi Moussa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester City succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Wolfdale AFC had controlled the match.
