Hameur Zitouni placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Hicham Taha was a little too slow when Mohammed Benyamina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Yazid Belkacem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Hadj Aïssa, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Mohammed Benyamina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Mohammed Benyamina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hicham Taha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Madjid Kheyari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yazid Belkacem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Madjid Kheyari in the 40th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohammed Benyamina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Larbi Abbas fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rye AFC's protests and gave Larbi Abbas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rye AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Larbi Abbas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed Benyamina in the 57th minute of play forced Rye AFC's goalkeeper Hicham Taha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Rye AFC got a freekick which was hit by Larbi Abbas. Cheb Lacen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hicham Taha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Gladewater AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hameur Achiu. After having played for 76 minutes, Larbi Abbas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rye AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larbi Abbas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohammed Benyamina in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hicham Taha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gladewater AFC's Mohammed Benyamina in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rye AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 80 minutes of play Rye AFC's Larbi Abbas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Larbi Abbas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed Benyamina in the 96th minute of play forced Rye AFC's goalkeeper Hicham Taha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rye AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
