The referee showed Fodil Cohen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Balmville FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fodil Cohen hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Forrest City AFC's Hocine Baroudi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Mohammad Kaci Macias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Karim Hima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anther Aboulker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karim Hima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
