In the 8th minute Mohammad Lemoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jussef Ben Yacef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Shiprock booed when Brown Deer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelmalek Cohen-Tannoudji didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kamel Djura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Rafik Zoheir Mezair tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Maïssa Bensaoula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohammad Lemoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jussef Ben Yacef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Maïssa Bensaoula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brown Deer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maïssa Bensaoula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maïssa Bensaoula struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rafik Zoheir Mezair didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brown Deer FC. Brown Deer FC's Maïssa Bensaoula got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafik Zoheir Mezair made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamel Djura in the 45th minute. When Abdelmalek Cohen-Tannoudji fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brown Deer FC's protests and gave Abdelmalek Cohen-Tannoudji a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Maïssa Bensaoula came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Brown Deer FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maïssa Bensaoula couldn't finish the play. Jussef Ben Yacef was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th match minute, Brown Deer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilles Kensi to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Adlène Iles in the 77th minute really tested Jussef Ben Yacef's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Nordine Zidān sped through Brown Deer FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jussef Ben Yacef. Brown Deer FC's Jussef Ben Yacef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nordine Zidān in the 82nd minute of play. When Nordine Zidān came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Shiprock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nordine Zidān couldn't finish the play. 1-4 became the score in the 87th minute when Mohammad Lemoui elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Maïssa Bensaoula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafik Zoheir Mezair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maïssa Bensaoula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kamel Djura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafik Zoheir Mezair having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nordine Zidān in the 96th minute of play forced Brown Deer FC's goalkeeper Jussef Ben Yacef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafik Zoheir Mezair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maïssa Bensaoula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Shiprock eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
