Ahmed Said fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayeb Hammad having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Tamarac FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yacine Zitouni came free, but Tayeb Hammad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Tamarac FC got a freekick which was hit by Tayeb Iles. Hakim Belaout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Mohammed Gallaire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nasser Bouzid was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Abderraouf Chedda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nasser Bouzid having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Hamid Belhadj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Somerset's Hakim Belaout couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tamarac FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

57 minutes into the match, Tamarac FC's goalkeeper Tayeb Hammad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yacine Zitouni. In the 60th minute, Somerset's Medjadi Amri seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Medjadi Amri the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Somerset protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Medjadi Amri had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Nasser Bouzid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abderraouf Chedda in the 65th minute of the match. Tamarac FC were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Somerset's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdelmalek Djebar took the corner. In the 68th minute Abderraouf Chedda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nasser Bouzid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
