Ferhat Amrouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Méniri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rachid Djebbour read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Ahmed Belaout managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dumas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Belaout was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmed Belaout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ferhat Amrouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Dumas's Safy Raï nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferhat Amrouche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Faouzi Badis charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faouzi Badis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Owensboro AFC! An unexpectedly hard shot by Safy Raï in the 30th minute of play forced Owensboro AFC's goalkeeper Ferhat Amrouche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noureddine Benmabrouk hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Owensboro AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Safy Raï fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Safy Raï who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Ferhat Amrouche when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rachid Djebbour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Méniri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mohamed Méniri came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Owensboro AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Méniri couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Dumas's Abdel Hamid Hamdani got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Ferhat Amrouche made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Ahmed Belaout sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Dumas booed when Owensboro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halim Aliche didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

During the 51st minute of the match Faouzi Badis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Faouzi Badis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 54th minute, Safy Raï ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferhat Amrouche was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Anthar Saïd-Guerni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rachid Djebbour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmed Belaout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdel Karim Djamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferhat Amrouche having to interfere. If Safy Raï had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Owensboro AFC's Ferhat Amrouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Belaout in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Dumas's Rachid Djebbour got control of the ball when Halim Aliche tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anthar Saïd-Guerni kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Anthar Saïd-Guerni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Djebbour having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Abdel Hamid Hamdani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dumas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Owensboro AFC for a fine match.
