The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Farid Merzekane's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Abdelmalek Medaci skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Karim Sennaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nasser Bridji scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdelmalek Achiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. North Seekonk's Abdelmalek Medaci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fodil Amsallem in the 19th minute of play. If Farid Merzekane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Abdellah Brahimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to North Seekonk getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Guillaume Laurent Merbah hit a great ball. Abdellah Brahimi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdelmalek Medaci having to make a save. A hard shot 35 in the game by Farid Merzekane from a close distance when the talented Abdelmalek Medaci managed to make a qualified save. North Seekonk's players were relieved. Abdellah Brahimi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdelmalek Medaci having to make a save. Mouloud Harkat charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mouloud Harkat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to North Seekonk getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mouloud Harkat hit a great ball. Nasser Bridji recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdellah Brahimi to make the kick off. A collision led to North Seekonk getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Alain Allalou hit a great ball. Mouloud Harkat hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Abdelmalek Medaci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdellah Brahimi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Abdellah Brahimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdellah Brahimi in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelmalek Medaci saved North Seekonk from getting behind. If Nasser Bridji had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelmalek Medaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Farid Merzekane in the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Nasser Bridji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelmalek Achiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Abdellah Brahimi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Nasser Bridji managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Seekonk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nasser Bridji was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karim Sennaoui who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Abdelmalek Achiu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abdellah Brahimi got in the 89th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Abdelmalek Medaci handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 93 minutes of play, Erwin's Farid Merzekane made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelmalek Medaci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
