After having played for 3 minutes, Hocine Menad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Fair Oaks AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hocine Menad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clover's Abdel Hamid Menad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hocine Menad in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Clover's goal looked a bit too open when Madjid Matmour came free, but Abdel Hamid Menad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hocine Menad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hocine Menad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Abdel Hamid Menad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelaziz Deghmani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohamed Zeghdoud in the 21st minute. Tedj Harkouk hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Yacine Macias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdel Hamid Menad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abdel Hamid Menad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Madjid Matmour, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The supporters of Clover booed when North Fair Oaks AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Madjid Matmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
