Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ahmed Lacen got the match started through his kick off. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gillespie's Abderaouf Nasro. But to his dismay, Abderaouf Nasro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Morganton defense, Abderaouf Nasro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdelhamid Reda Madouni. The Morganton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdelhamid Reda Madouni should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Lacen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cheb Haddou was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 10 played minutes Morganton got a freekick which was hit by Rafik Amrouche. Abderaouf Nasro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Morganton's Ahmed Lacen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cheb Haddou. That made the score 1-2 after 16 minutes of play. After 25 minutes, Souad Allalou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gillespie and the Morganton players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Morganton booed when Gillespie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Souad Allalou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Morganton's Zīn ud-Dīn Boniche broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 31 minutes into the match, Morganton's Ahmed Lacen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cheb Haddou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Gillespie's Cheb Haddou got control of the ball when Farid Saïdi-Sief tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cheb Haddou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Lacen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Hocine Yahi put in a rough tackle. In the 40th minute, one of Morganton:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Morganton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abderaouf Nasro in the 45th minute of play forced Morganton's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Reda Madouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Farid Saïdi-Sief fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheb Haddou having to interfere. Farid Saïdi-Sief recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Souad Allalou kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Farid Saïdi-Sief blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cheb Haddou having to make a save. A collision led to Morganton getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rafik Amrouche hit a great ball. Gillespie's Abderaouf Nasro got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Farid Saïdi-Sief had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Cheb Lamine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morganton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gillespie the free kick. Fodil Abdessalam, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 90th minute, Gillespie's Mahieddine Teissier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gillespie had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
