Slimane Djahnine hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Djamal Fillali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Djamal Fillali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cottonport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Djamal Fillali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lake Mills's Karim Brahimi got a free kick in the 29th minute. Cottonport's Rabah Benmabrouk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Cottonport from getting a goal against them. The Cottonport fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Cottonport's Hamid Abdelghani looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frantz Mamouni was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Medjadi Aggoune in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Djamel Raï prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Djamel Raï took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Medjadi Aggoune, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Medjadi Aggoune got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karim Brahimi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Abdelaziz Mezdad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Cottonport got a freekick which was hit by Soltani Ben Bella. Rabah Benmabrouk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frantz Mamouni in the 74th minute of the match. During the 79th minute of the match Slimane Djahnine completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Slimane Djahnine a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Slimane Djahnine kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Frantz Mamouni struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Rabah Benmabrouk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Mills. Djamel Raï showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djamal Fillali in the 85th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cottonport's zone, Frantz Mamouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rabah Benmabrouk came out of the goal and Frantz Mamouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute Frantz Mamouni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rabah Benmabrouk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rabah Benmabrouk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knodi Diss in the 95th minute of the match. Djamal Fillali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Djamel Raï tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
