Ali Morceli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halim Bouzid, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 41st minute, Horizon City AFC's Kasdi Daham ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abdelkader Amirouche. Abdelkader Amirouche yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 46th minute Nouredine Kafi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Morceli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes Horizon City AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel El Ouafi who took care of the corner kick. Wharton FC's Daniel El Ouafi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ali Morceli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nouredine Kafi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mohammed Boulmerka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ali Morceli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nouredine Kafi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Halim Bouzid came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ali Morceli could save by the left post. A collision led to Horizon City AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Abdelhamid Kourichi hit a great ball. Mohammed Boulmerka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kasdi Daham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kasdi Daham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
