Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Battle Ground's Belaid Bouguerra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Battle Ground's Hocine Hima got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belaid Bouguerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohamed Ben Bahari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Karim Meriem hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belaid Bouguerra in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohamed Ben Bahari saved Kingsford from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kingsford's Lakhdar Kaci Said got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belaid Bouguerra in the 31st minute of play forced Kingsford's goalkeeper Mohamed Ben Bahari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohamed Ben Bahari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belaid Bouguerra's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Belaid Bouguerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belaid Bouguerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mohamed Ben Bahari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Belaid Bouguerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battle Ground's supporters rose to their feet, but Belaid Bouguerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Ben Bahari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nasreddine Boulebda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Abdelaziz Mhenni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rachid Adjaoud to make the kick off. Nasreddine Boulebda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Mhenni having to interfere. Mohamed Ben Bahari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hocine Hima in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Rachid Adjaoud dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abdelaziz Mhenni, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Battle Ground's Ahmed Beloufa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Hocine Hima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Ahmed Ihidjaten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Battle Ground's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Ihidjaten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Rachid Adjaoud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Mhenni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nasreddine Boulebda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Mhenni having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Kingsford's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Hima came free, but Mohamed Ben Bahari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karim Meriem charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karim Meriem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Battle Ground booed when Kingsford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim Meriem didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the game's 78th minute Battle Ground's Mohamed Feraoun took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Mohamed Ben Bahari and thus the score was 2-1. In the 90th minute Belaid Bouguerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Ben Bahari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelaziz Mhenni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nasreddine Boulebda in the 93rd minute. Kader Fahima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Mhenni having to interfere.
