Adlène Achiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismaïl Bitat in the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Abdelhamid Feraoun put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adlène Achiou. Hocine Touhami made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 26thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ali Ghazi would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After having played for 28 minutes, Abdelhamid Feraoun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herrin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhamid Feraoun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Hocine Touhami got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 42 played minutes, St. Albans's Fathi Hamdani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ali Ghazi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in St. Albans reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Herrin getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ali Yacef hit a great ball. Hocine Touhami struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ali Ghazi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. Albans. In the 58th minute, Khair ad-Din Ouadah sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and St. Albans's Adlène Achiou didn't even have to move. After having played for 64 minutes, Fodil Asma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herrin's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismaïl Bitat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adlène Achiou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Herrin's Ali Yacef got a free kick in the 89th minute. Adlène Achiou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismaïl Bitat in the 92nd minute.
