Chicago Ridge FC's Hicham Boulmerka got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Faouzi Amri fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Fe Springs FC's protests and gave Faouzi Amri a yellow card for diving instead. Abd el Bensaoula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
