Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ali Bezzaz kicked off to start the match. Benamar Faudel came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Emerson's Ali Bezzaz. But to his dismay, Ali Bezzaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Emerson getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rachid Morceli hit a great ball. St. Simons FC's Benamar Faudel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Bezzaz in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Emerson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Morceli to maneuver through the defense. Mohamed Saïfi charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Saïfi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of St. Simons FC booed when Emerson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Saïfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayeb Sakhri in the 26th minute of play forced St. Simons FC's goalkeeper Benamar Faudel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lakhdar Megharia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mohamed Saïfi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. A collision led to Emerson getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mohamed Saïfi hit a great ball. Lakhdar Megharia scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Knodi Said, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Emerson's Ahmed Souakri got a free kick in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, St. Simons FC's Noureddine Hamid got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Ali Bezzaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lakhdar Megharia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 56 minutes, Smail Chaib mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emerson and the St. Simons FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Emerson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Smail Chaib to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Emerson defense, Lakhdar Megharia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Knodi Said. The Emerson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Knodi Said should have stopped the shot. Benamar Faudel made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tayeb Sakhri sent off a good shot on target. Tayeb Sakhri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Benamar Faudel made a huge save. With a little luck, St. Simons FC's Benamar Faudel got control of the ball when Tayeb Sakhri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lakhdar Megharia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lakhdar Megharia might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Knodi Said. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lakhdar Megharia ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th minute, Ali Bezzaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tayeb Sakhri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benamar Faudel having to interfere. Ismaël Cixous struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Benamar Faudel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emerson. St. Simons FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Emerson had controlled the match.
