Tayeb Derrida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Khabatou, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Edmond Benida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayeb Derrida having to interfere. Souad Bedjaoui kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Khabatou in the 26th managed to get into a good position. Daho Mamouni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Edmond Bilal made a huge save. Edmond Benida hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Daho Mamouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Khabatou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Grove City FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmond Benida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Edmond Bilal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daho Mamouni in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Fodil Khaled hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Daho Mamouni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grove City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 79th match minute, Carteret FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelnacer Mansouri to maneuver through the defense.
