Hicham Saïd-Guerni got in the 3rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mourad Nabil handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Mourad Nabil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boudjemaa Hamid Brahima in the 6th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Norwood AFC's zone, Mohammad Djamel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Menguellet came out of the goal and Mohammad Djamel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mourad Nabil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boudjemaa Hamid Brahima in the 12th minute of play. Mourad Nabil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boudjemaa Hamid Brahima's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Hicham Saïd-Guerni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norwood AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hicham Saïd-Guerni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mourad Nabil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boudjemaa Hamid Brahima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mourad Nabil having to interfere. Hicham Saïd-Guerni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Norwood AFC's zone, Abdelhamid Boutabout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Menguellet came out of the goal and Abdelhamid Boutabout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohammad Djamel in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamid Menguellet saved Norwood AFC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Mohammad Djamel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hamid Menguellet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamid Menguellet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelhamid Boutabout, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Jean Amsallem had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Alain Cherrad charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alain Cherrad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alain Cherrad hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Mourad Nabil was a little too slow when Boudjemaa Hamid Brahima got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-1. With 67 minutes on the clock, Jean-Michel Merbah commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Lafayette:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Norwood AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Norwood AFC's Ahmed Mamouni got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mourad Nabil. Lafayette's Abdellah Bahari suffered a sore thigh after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ali Hasni charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
