Mourad Moll's late challenge caught a Owego's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mourad Moll helped the player get up and apologised. Mourad Moll hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mohamed Ben Feraoun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maamar Djura, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Maamar Djura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Owego's Maamar Djura got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Owego booed when Washburn AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mourad Moll didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Karim Khaled managed to get in a good position for a shot. Owego's supporters rose to their feet, but Karim Khaled was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Ben Feraoun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Owego's El Abdelghani got a free kick in the 31st minute. Owego's Medjadi Hadjadj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Owego from getting a goal against them. If Madhi Bezzaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Ben Feraoun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelmalek Benmabrouk in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Washburn AFC's Bouabdellah Ammour got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute Abdelhamid Bouchemla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Ben Feraoun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maamar Djura to make the kick off. In the 80th minute, El Abdelghani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karim Khaled's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Mohamed Ben Feraoun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
