Abdelhamid Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahmoud Nima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Smail Schoonmaker having to make a save. Elkins AFC's Smail Schoonmaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Ghazi in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Elkins AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Muhammad Ghazi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Muhammad Ghazi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Smail Schoonmaker was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Meziane Khalef took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelhamid Morceli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Muhammad Ghazi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Smail Schoonmaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Elkins AFC's goalkeeper Smail Schoonmaker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mahmoud Nima. Mahmoud Nima might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Smail Schoonmaker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahmoud Nima ran back to his position shaking his head. London City's Meziane Khalef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabah Chaib in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as London City's Mahmoud Nima slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Smail Schoonmaker. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Elkins AFC's Smail Schoonmaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Ghazi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Rabah Diss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mourad Sam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Meziane Khalef. London City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Rabah Chaib had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Meziane Khalef. London City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rabah Chaib was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 43rdth minute of the game Muhammad Ghazi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elkins AFC's Smail Schoonmaker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelhamid Morceli made a kick off. When Muhammad Ghazi came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the London City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhammad Ghazi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Elkins AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Abdelhamid Rimitti hit a great ball. When Mahmoud Nima came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the London City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mahmoud Nima couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mahmoud Nima in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Smail Schoonmaker saved Elkins AFC from getting behind. London City's Mahmoud Nima got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mahmoud Nima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaba Djebar hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Meziane Khalef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelhamid Morceli, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Abdelhamid Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelhamid Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Smail Schoonmaker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muhammad Ghazi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Smail Schoonmaker came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by London City's Mahmoud Nima. But to his dismay, Mahmoud Nima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. London City had won after a very even match.
