But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fadel Saïdi-Sief couldn't finish the play. A collision led to South Daytona getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mouloud Merzekane hit a great ball. Fadel Saïdi-Sief struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Nourredine Lemoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nathan FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Mustapha Ihidjaten managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Daytona's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustapha Ihidjaten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelmalek Kouidri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nourredine Lemoui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mouloud Cavalli, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mouloud Cavalli in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nourredine Lemoui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mouloud Cavalli was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Nathan FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Mouloud Cavalli took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nourredine Lemoui to make any attempt to save it. Mouloud Merzekane hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mustapha Ihidjaten made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Hakim Hima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustapha Ihidjaten in the 57th minute of play forced Nathan FC's goalkeeper Abdelmalek Kouidri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelmalek Kouidri was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Djamal Kermali capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Djamal Kermali really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Fadel Saïdi-Sief's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nourredine Lemoui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nathan FC's Hakim Hima got a free kick in the 64th minute. During the 66th minute of the match Hakim Hima completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hakim Hima a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th match minute, Nathan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Souad Mammeri to maneuver through the defense. Said Dahar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Although Nathan FC had been in control for most of the match, South Daytona still came away with the win.
