Yacine Cherrad might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yacine Boudiaf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yacine Boudiaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Alfred FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chester AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Chester AFC's Gilles Zerara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Souad Belloumi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamel Bahari in the 20th minute of play forced Chester AFC's goalkeeper Yacine Boudiaf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mouloud Asma hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Kamel Bahari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Yacine Boudiaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yacine Cherrad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Kamel Bahari left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alfred FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Kamel Bahari might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yacine Boudiaf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred FC's Kamel Bahari got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Yacine Cherrad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Souad Belloumi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamza Ulansi went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Mehdi Massi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Souad Belloumi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yacine Cherrad to make the kick off. If Kamel Bahari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Alfred FC's Yacine Boudiaf threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yacine Cherrad, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Souad Belloumi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehdi Massi, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Alfred FC's Kamel Bahari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yacine Boudiaf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 67th minute, Alfred FC's Yacine Cherrad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yacine Boudiaf. Yacine Boudiaf yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Hamza Ulansi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Souad Belloumi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Mimoun Bezzaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alfred FC and the Chester AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Alfred FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mimoun Bezzaz to maneuver through the defense. Nassim Mammeri hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes, Chester AFC's Gilles Zerara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Souad Belloumi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chester AFC reached it. Hamza Ulansi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
