After a rather tough play, Tupelo AFC's Cherif Méniri got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Mamaar Amirouche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehdi Kourichi in the 25th minute. Tupelo AFC's Mohamed El-Hadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Douibi in the 33rd minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Mehdi Kourichi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mamaar Amirouche was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 42 minutes into the game, Krim Bessou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berthoud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tupelo AFC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmed Meriem in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mamaar Amirouche saved Berthoud from getting behind. Tupelo AFC's Mohamed El-Hadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faouzi Harkouk in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Berthoud's goalkeeper Mamaar Amirouche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehdi Kourichi. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmed Meriem was the one to do the kick off. Berthoud's Faouzi Harkouk got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute of the match Hameur Moll sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohamed El-Hadi skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faouzi Harkouk got free with Mohamed El-Hadi in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Tupelo AFC's zone, Mohamed Douibi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed El-Hadi came out of the goal and Mohamed Douibi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mamaar Amirouche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Meriem, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Tupelo AFC's Mohamed El-Hadi got control of the ball when Faouzi Harkouk tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Berthoud's goal looked a bit too open when Mehdi Kourichi came free, but Mamaar Amirouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed Douibi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mohamed El-Hadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rachid Zidane in the 81st minute of the match. Mamaar Amirouche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Meriem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tupelo AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
