In the 3rd minute Mohamed Boulebda suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Ponte Pereiro FC's Cheb Megharia got a free kick in the 4th minute. Noureddine Zerguelaine might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Safy Harkouk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noureddine Zerguelaine ran back to his position shaking his head. When Cheb Megharia came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ponte Pereiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cheb Megharia couldn't finish the play. Ponte Pereiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhamid Fadhil Mohamed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
