Lounès Zidān made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 22 minutes, Mourad Mohand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mourad Mohand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ahmed Larfaoui came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed Larfaoui couldn't finish the play. If Karim Toumi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denmark's Youssef Abrika was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lounès Zidān in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 91st minute, Ahmed Aggoune hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmed Larfaoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lounès Zidān having to interfere. Ahmed Aggoune sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Denmark had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
