In the 14th minute Mohammad Fadela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Messaoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Detroit AF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abdelaziz Abbas was slow to take the kick. During this time Emmetsburg AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Emmetsburg AFC's corner Abdelaziz Abbas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Said Mammeri quite easily take care of the ball. Salim Matoub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hamid Boniche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Said Mammeri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salim Matoub went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ahmed Messaoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamel Bouguerra in the 39th minute of play. Said Mammeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamid Boniche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Detroit AF defense, Halim Boulebda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Said Mammeri. The Detroit AF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Said Mammeri should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Djamel Bouguerra was the one to do the kick off. Detroit AF's Djamel Bouguerra got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emmetsburg AFC's Salim Matoub got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hamid Boniche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cherif Malek kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Detroit AF got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Fadela. An unexpectedly hard shot by Djamel Bouguerra in the 71st minute of play forced Emmetsburg AFC's goalkeeper Ahmed Messaoud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Salim Matoub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamid Boniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Said Mammeri having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Mohammed Cohen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Detroit AF and the Emmetsburg AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Detroit AF's Mohammed Cohen got a free kick in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Ali Benarbia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emmetsburg AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Detroit AF the free kick. Hamid Boniche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Said Mammeri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Detroit AF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismaël Fanon to maneuver through the defense.
