The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lakhdar Badis during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Lakhdar Badis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Castle Point FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mehdi Djamel came free, but Gilles Said reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Bouzid Liegeon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehdi Djamel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilles Said read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to CLESTER CITY getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Abdelhamid Djeballi hit a great ball. Jussef Madani was a little too slow when Nassim Matmour got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Castle Point FC's Gilles Said played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lakhdar Badis in the 24th minute of play. Lakhdar Badis struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Gilles Said didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLESTER CITY. Mehdi Djamel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gilles Said tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehdi Djamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Said having to interfere. CLESTER CITY's Lakhdar Badis got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Lakhdar Badis off the ground. 42 minutes into the match, Mehdi Djamel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilles Said. Castle Point FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mehdi Djamel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehdi Djamel to make the kick off. Mehdi Djamel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhamid Djeballi in the 55th minute of play forced Castle Point FC's goalkeeper Gilles Said to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismaïl Rimitti kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When CLESTER CITY's Mehdi Djamel in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gilles Said took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Hadjar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Baptiste Ihidjaten's late challenge caught a CLESTER CITY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Baptiste Ihidjaten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Jean-Baptiste Ihidjaten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute Mehdi Djamel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilles Said saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehdi Djamel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilles Said read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Gilles Said made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdi Djamel in the 88th minute of play. Abdelhamid Djeballi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehdi Djamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Said having to interfere. CLESTER CITY played a much better game than Castle Point FC and deserved their victory. The Castle Point FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
