Ali Boutella took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mehdi Rimitti. Hammonton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ben Benflis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cheb Mohand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bladensburg FC's Cheb Mohand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Bladensburg FC from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liamine Khendu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
