In the 55th minute, Karim Zidane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mesquite's Bouabdellah Saïfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamel Ouadah in the 57th minute of play. Slimane Hamid Brahima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rachid Amsallem in the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Fodil N'Soumer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Rochelle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mesquite the free kick. In the 74th minute, Fodil N'Soumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rachid Amsallem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Slimane Hamid Brahima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Karim Zidane sped through New Rochelle's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Slimane Hamid Brahima.
