Romeo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Farmers Branch AFC the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Romeo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hocine Medaci to maneuver through the defense. Farmers Branch AFC's Amrani Amara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Romeo. Jean-Baptiste El Ouafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fadhil Kerkar having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Romeo's goalkeeper Ahmed Aït Salem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Menad Mecherara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daho Fillali in the 29th minute of play forced Romeo's goalkeeper Ahmed Aït Salem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Farmers Branch AFC booed when Romeo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayeb Nabil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmed Aït Salem made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Menad Mecherara sent off a good shot on target. Jean-Baptiste El Ouafi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Fadhil Kerkar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamid Harkat went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fadhil Kerkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste El Ouafi in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Romeo's Ahmed Aït Salem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menad Mecherara in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean-Baptiste El Ouafi in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fadhil Kerkar saved Farmers Branch AFC from getting behind. Menad Mecherara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmed Aït Salem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menad Mecherara in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmed Aït Salem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 65 minutes, Menad Mecherara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farmers Branch AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Menad Mecherara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Menad Mecherara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmed Aït Salem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daho Fillali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
