If Mohamed Ben Ahmed Radjef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivanhoe FC's Edmond Mimoun got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lazhar Saadane hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kassel Khendu was the one to do the kick off. Edmond Mimoun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Abdelkader Khabatou made a huge save. Ahmed Louahla charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmed Louahla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kassel Khendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivanhoe FC's Benamar Aït Salem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kassel Khendu in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Ivanhoe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Ben Ahmed Radjef came free, but Benamar Aït Salem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
