Abdelmalek Nekkar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abdelkader Khabatou firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kotzebue FC's Mohamed Ben Ahmed Radjef got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Meziane Djebar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Kotzebue FC's goalkeeper Abdelkader Khabatou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelmalek Nekkar. Abdelmalek Nekkar scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdelkader Khabatou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ali Cherfa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Ben Ahmed Radjef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Ben Ahmed Radjef in the 28th minute of play forced Geistown's goalkeeper Ali Cherfa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoheir Bouteflika in the 94th minute of play forced Kotzebue FC's goalkeeper Abdelkader Khabatou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lazhar Saadane's late challenge caught a Geistown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
