Benamar Aït Salem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nouara Bouguerra in the 44th minute of the match. The Ivanhoe FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Geistown were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mohammad Ziani to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hamid Abdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geistown's Abdelmalek Nekkar got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ivanhoe FC's Fodil Megharia got a free kick in the 55th minute. Mohammad Ziani struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ali Cherfa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ivanhoe FC. Ivanhoe FC's Benamar Aït Salem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Ivanhoe FC from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ivanhoe FC's goalkeeper Benamar Aït Salem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Zoheir Bouteflika dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benamar Aït Salem, 0-2. After 75 minutes of play, Geistown's Abdelmalek Nekkar made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 82nd minute Edmond Mimoun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Cherfa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Edmond Mimoun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Cherfa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 87th match minute, Ivanhoe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fodil Megharia to maneuver through the defense. Benamar Aït Salem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoheir Bouteflika, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Benamar Aït Salem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdelmalek Nekkar in the 94th minute. The Ivanhoe FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Geistown's performance. The match ended with a win for Geistown.
