The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Fadel Hamdani managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when MARIUPOL FC's Rachid Harkouk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to MARIUPOL FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Mehdi Bensaoula hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nouara Abdenouz in the 23rd minute of play forced MARIUPOL FC's goalkeeper Ksawery Zyskowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nichifor Chițes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nouara Abdenouz's late challenge caught a MARIUPOL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nouara Abdenouz helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 minutes, Nichifor Chițes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARIUPOL FC and the South Jordan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nichifor Chițes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.
