The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Reform FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bouabdellah Iles came free, but Halim Nasro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Medjadi Adjani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reform FC's Halim Nasro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bouabdellah Iles in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Bouabdellah Iles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Halim Nasro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Medjadi Adjani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halim Nasro was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Khalida Brahmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hicham Guessoum having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Reform FC's Hicham Guessoum threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Khalida Brahmi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 34th minute, Khalida Brahmi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 played minutes Ashburn FC got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Bencheikh. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karim Chebal got free with Hicham Guessoum in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 36 minutes, Ferhat Méniri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ashburn FC and the Reform FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferhat Méniri kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Khalida Brahmi in the 38th managed to get into a good position. After the first half Ashburn FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hicham Guessoum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalida Brahmi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abd al-Aziz Laura Douibi during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Ashburn FC a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lakhdar Bellemou Messaoud, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Reform FC's Halim Nasro. 2-2.
