In the 23rd match minute, Seminole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mouloud Djura to maneuver through the defense. Mustapha Zéroual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Said Bentaala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, El Sobrante's Said Bentaala got control of the ball when Mustapha Zéroual tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 minutes, Fateh Benhabiles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Sobrante and the Seminole players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Fateh Benhabiles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jussef Ben Zidane to make the kick off. In the 61st minute, Mustapha Zéroual got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdelnacer Zarabi made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Mounir Zerara sent off a good shot on target. Bouzid Zahouania's late challenge caught a El Sobrante's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bouzid Zahouania helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Seminole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bouzid Zahouania to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Seminole's zone, Jussef Ben Zidane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelnacer Zarabi came out of the goal and Jussef Ben Zidane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mounir Zerara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelnacer Zarabi having to interfere. The supporters of El Sobrante booed when Seminole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thelma Belkacem didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Sobrante's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
