Kateb Karim Belkassem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Souad Merbah having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Smail Belhagj in the 7th minute of play forced Hardinsburg's goalkeeper Souad Merbah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blasdell's Kateb Karim Belkassem got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Smail Belhagj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Smail Belhagj had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Souad Merbah. Hardinsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Smail Belhagj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Lounès Mecherara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hardinsburg's Souad Merbah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kateb Karim Belkassem in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hardinsburg's Ali Nekkar got a free kick in the 41st minute. Souad Merbah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Smail Belhagj went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Hardinsburg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blasdell were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lounès Mecherara to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Lounès Mecherara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Smail Belhagj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Souad Merbah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Ali Nekkar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hardinsburg and the Blasdell players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Hardinsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Nekkar to maneuver through the defense. Lounès Mecherara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mourad Ben Khalidi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Blasdell getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Menad Morceli hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Said Ben Khalidi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hardinsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blasdell the free kick. Said Ben Khalidi kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Lounès Mecherara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lounès Mecherara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 79 minutes, Smail Belhagj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blasdell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Smail Belhagj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Said Zéroual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mourad Ben Khalidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lounès Mecherara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Said Zéroual fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mourad Ben Khalidi having to interfere. After some careless play in the Blasdell defense, Lounès Mecherara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mourad Ben Khalidi. The Blasdell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mourad Ben Khalidi should have stopped the shot.
