The audience was convinced that Yazid Menguellet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamid Sad was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Nordine Khaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Bruel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nordine Khaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. Hicham Medjani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Shamrock's Fawzi Madjer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Bruel. Ali Bruel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hocine Abrika during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yorkville booed when Shamrock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Abrika didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Bruel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hicham Medjani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shamrock's Hamid Sad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yazid Menguellet in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdelhani Benhamou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 71st minute Nordine Khaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Bruel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Shamrock's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhani Benhamou came free, but Hamid Sad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Shamrock getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gilles Yacine hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Boubekeur Kraouche shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamid Sad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nordine Khaldi struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ali Bruel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shamrock. If Hicham Medjani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Shamrock's goalkeeper Hamid Sad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yazid Menguellet kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Shamrock's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
