The Cambria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohamed Kouici should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Edgecliff FC's Smail Aït Salem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohamed Kouici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ismaïl Zidane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismaël Hadjadj having to interfere.
