Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Salim Mouzaoui got the match started through his kick off. Ben Djura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salim Mouzaoui, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Mansour Schoonmaker made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 21stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ben Djura would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A collision led to Wake Forest getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cheb Dziri hit a great ball. Kamel Zidane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohamed Feraoun's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Mansour Schoonmaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ben Djura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Salim Mouzaoui came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Wake Forest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salim Mouzaoui couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Wake Forest's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Ziani came free, but Kamel Zidane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Djura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salim Mouzaoui's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohamed Ziani to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Salim Mouzaoui made a precise shot to the right of Ben Djura. Colchester AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 63 minutes into the game, Mansour Schoonmaker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ben Djura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 66 played minutes Wake Forest got a freekick which was hit by Mansour Schoonmaker. After having played for 68 minutes, Mohamed Feraoun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colchester AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Feraoun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Wake Forest's Hameur Rimitti got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Wake Forest's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Mohamed Ziani scored to the left of an out of position Kamel Zidane, making the score, 2-1. In the 82nd minute, Wake Forest's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mohamed Ziani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ben Djura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salim Mouzaoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Colchester AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karim Hamrouche to maneuver through the defense. If Salim Mouzaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salim Mouzaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colchester AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wake Forest.
