Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mohamed Benzine took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mohammed Madouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasmina Benyamina having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Guillaume Laurent Douibi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Yasmina Benyamina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Yazid Assad came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Marathon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yazid Assad couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Bennettsville booed when Marathon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Lelouch didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Mohamed Benzine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Messaoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yasmina Benyamina was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Mohammed Madouni capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mohammed Madouni really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Salah Gallaire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Marathon AFC's zone, Mohamed Benzine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Messaoud came out of the goal and Mohamed Benzine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Bennettsville's Yasmina Benyamina got control of the ball when Mohammed Madouni tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bennettsville's Reda Liegeon got a free kick in the 34th minute. Guillaume Laurent Douibi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Yasmina Benyamina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Abdel Karim Lelouch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yasmina Benyamina made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Mohammed Madouni sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillaume Laurent Douibi to make the kick off. Salah Gallaire struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Karim Messaoud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bennettsville. Bennettsville's Mohamed Benzine got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillaume Laurent Douibi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Yasmina Benyamina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Abdel Karim Lelouch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bennettsville and the Marathon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mohamed Benzine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Messaoud having to interfere. Karim Messaoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Benzine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karim Messaoud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salah Gallaire went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Bennettsville getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Abdelnacer Touhami hit a great ball. Karim Messaoud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Benzine in the 94th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salah Gallaire got free with Karim Messaoud in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mohammed Madouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasmina Benyamina having to interfere. Bennettsville's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
