Rafik Bouazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Benhabiles having to interfere. After 28 played minutes, Laguna Beach AFC's Nasreddine Moussa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mohammad Benhabiles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laguna Beach AFC reached it. After having played for 33 minutes, Rachid Baba Ali Kouri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laguna Beach AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Baba Ali Kouri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Rafik Bouazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fergani Piaf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nassim Bilal in the 36th minute of the match. Rachid Baba Ali Kouri might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohammad Benhabiles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rachid Baba Ali Kouri ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafik Bouazza to strike the kick off in the second half. Rachid Baba Ali Kouri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Mohammad Benhabiles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 54th minute Nassim Bilal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergani Piaf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Khair ad-Din Ouadah was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laguna Beach AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oak View the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Laguna Beach AFC's zone, Nassim Bilal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fergani Piaf came out of the goal and Nassim Bilal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
