Cocoa's Hakim Bezzaz got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 minutes, Khair ad-Din Ouadah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laguna Beach AFC and the Cocoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Laguna Beach AFC's Khair ad-Din Ouadah got a free kick in the 10th minute. Fergani Piaf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rachid Baba Ali Adjaoud's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Hakim Bezzaz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fergani Piaf. Fodil Abdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mamaar Hamid's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Rachid Baba Ali Kouri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fodil Abdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fergani Piaf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rachid Baba Ali Adjaoud in the 33rd minute of play. Rachid Baba Ali Adjaoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fergani Piaf having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rachid Baba Ali Adjaoud was the one to do the kick off. Rachid Baba Ali Kouri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rachid Baba Ali Adjaoud scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fergani Piaf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rachid Baba Ali Kouri might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodil Abdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fodil Abdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laguna Beach AFC. When Mohammed Chebal fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cocoa's protests and gave Mohammed Chebal a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cocoa! Rachid Baba Ali Kouri took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodil Abdi. Fodil Abdi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
