But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reda Zouba couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, Oelwein's goal looked a bit too open when Rabah Zaaboub came free, but Abdelnacer Bella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rabah Zaaboub came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Dahlonega AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rabah Zaaboub couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Dahlonega AFC's Rabah Zaaboub sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdelnacer Bella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rabah Zaaboub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Oelwein fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Oelwein's Fathi Mazzid looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Dahlonega AFC's zone, Fathi Mazzid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Baptiste Saïdi-Sief came out of the goal and Fathi Mazzid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rabah Zaaboub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Abdelnacer Bella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dahlonega AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rabah Zaaboub was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fathi Mazzid was the one to do the kick off. If Reda Zouba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Rabah Zaaboub got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 59th minute, Hamid Belkhadem made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Baptiste Saïdi-Sief. Dahlonega AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Reda Zouba might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdelnacer Bella. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reda Zouba ran back to his position shaking his head. Jean-Baptiste Saïdi-Sief made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Belkhadem in the 71st minute of play. Jean-Baptiste Saïdi-Sief showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamid Belkhadem in the 73rd minute of the match. Reda Zouba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Abdelnacer Bella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes, Dahlonega AFC's Nouara Achiou shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abdelnacer Bella came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dahlonega AFC reached it. The nice shot from Rabah Zaaboub in the 85thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Abdelnacer Bella had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 87th minute Reda Zouba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelnacer Bella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reda Zouba struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Abdelnacer Bella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dahlonega AFC. Rabah Zaaboub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelnacer Bella having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Oelwein could leave the field as winners, despite Dahlonega AFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
