Boudjemaa Zarabi's late challenge caught a Liberty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boudjemaa Zarabi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to East Peoria FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Boudjemaa Zarabi hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amrani Merbah in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohamed Belmadi saved Liberty from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Amrani Merbah managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Peoria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amrani Merbah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Belmadi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nourredine Ramdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amrani Merbah was the one to do the kick off. Mohamed Belmadi was a little too slow when Abd al-Asis Chebal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-2. East Peoria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amrani Merbah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amrani Merbah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Belmadi having to interfere. If Nourredine Ramdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. East Peoria FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
