Ferhat Yahia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shafter AFC. Rafik Cohen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Fawzi Zitouni skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 87th minute, Rafik Cohen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mustapha Bouzid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Zitouni having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Rafik Cohen made a precise shot to the right of Fawzi Zitouni. Shafter AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Ankeny FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
