Ahmed Reda El Ouafi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mouloud Cavalli made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ahmed Reda El Ouafi sent off a good shot on target. After 6 played minutes Benton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chadli Ulansi. After 14 played minutes Las Cruces FC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Reda El Ouafi. If Faouzi Nima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Las Cruces FC's zone, Anther Madjer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amar Mansouri came out of the goal and Anther Madjer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Chadli Ulansi fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benton AFC's protests and gave Chadli Ulansi a yellow card for diving instead. When Anther Madjer came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Benton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anther Madjer couldn't finish the play. Benton AFC's Mouloud Cavalli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Benton AFC from getting a goal against them. Amar Mansouri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faouzi Nima in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmed Reda El Ouafi got free with Mouloud Cavalli in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Faouzi Nima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anther Madjer in the 35th minute of play forced Las Cruces FC's goalkeeper Amar Mansouri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Reda El Ouafi in the 37th minute of play forced Benton AFC's goalkeeper Mouloud Cavalli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ahmed Reda El Ouafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Reda El Ouafi in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mouloud Cavalli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmed Reda El Ouafi got free with Mouloud Cavalli in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cherif Khendu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benton AFC's Chadli Ulansi suffered a concussion in the 51st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 52nd match minute, Las Cruces FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelkader Aliche to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Benton AFC's Boudjemaa Mesbah tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Las Cruces FC booed when Benton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boughera Cohen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Benton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Reda El Ouafi came free, but Mouloud Cavalli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafik Haddadj hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Tedj Merbah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Benton AFC's zone, Cherif Khendu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mouloud Cavalli came out of the goal and Cherif Khendu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Cherif Khendu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Cruces FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cherif Khendu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mouloud Cavalli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th match minute, Benton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Khadra to maneuver through the defense. Ahmed Reda El Ouafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouloud Cavalli having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Reda El Ouafi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mouloud Cavalli was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Tedj Merbah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amar Mansouri having to make a save. Faouzi Nima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Amar Mansouri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Ahmed Reda El Ouafi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Cruces FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Reda El Ouafi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 played minutes Benton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tedj Merbah. Cherif Khendu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mouloud Cavalli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cherif Khendu in the 91st minute of play forced Benton AFC's goalkeeper Mouloud Cavalli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Cherif Khendu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benton AFC's Mouloud Cavalli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Benton AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Faouzi Nima hit a great ball. Las Cruces FC's Cherif Khendu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cherif Khendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
